Den 14. februar modtog MARIN, P2 Prisen 2019 for Årets Album, Ny Klassisk ved P2's priskoncert i Musikkens Hus i Ålborg. OUR Recordings ønsker et STORT tillykke til hele holdet, - musikere,orkestre, ensembler, animatorer,komponister, producere, teknikere, filmfolk o.m.a. - bag AXEL BORUP-JØRGENSEN (1924- 2012) udgivelsesprojekt,som startede for 6 år siden umiddelbart efter komponistens død.

En særlig tak til Axel Borup-Jørgensens's datter Elisabet Selin, som egenhændigt har sponseret hele dette gigantiske udgivelsesprojekt som består af Animationsfilmen MARIN,- Portrætfilmen AXEL og 10 CD udgivelser.

Komponistpris-statuetten er udformet af kunstneren Elisabeth Zeuthen efter en af Axel Borup-Jørgensen egne illustrationer. Priserne overrækkes af Axel Borup-Jørgensens datter Elisabet Selin. Overrækkelsen finder sted ved NYT!NYT – Ny Musik Festival i Rudersdal, lørdag 21. november 2015 fra kl. 12.30 til 18.00 i Kulturcenter Mariehøj, Øverødvej 246 i Holte.

Amongst Axel Borup-Jørgensens symphonic works, his Marin is considered to be one of the most significant Danish works of its time. Since Marin was inspired by the sea, it was decided to create an animated visual fantasy, with an underwater universe, to this work.

The recording of "Marin" in DR Concert Hall, with the wonderful and enthusiatic Danish National Symphony Orchestra, under the inspiring and extremely competent conductor Thomas Søndergård, was very succesfully completed yesterday May 26th 2016. Preben Iwan and Mikkel Nymand produced the recording in DXD format. The release, on OUR Recordings, is scheduled to be March 2017. An animation, abstract fantasy film, inspired by "Marin" is in the proces of creation, together with a portrait of the composer. Lückow Film is producing both films!

Pianist Erik Kaltoft recorded in November 2015 and March 2016 a CD Piano Music by Axel Borup-Jørgensen in the wonderful acoustic in the Concert Hall of The Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen. The CD is scheduled to be released worldwide in August 2016. The album include the major piano works from the early opus numbers to the later ones,- and also a rare piece for celesta. It is possible already to see the cover and tracklist,- and read the covernotes under releases.
